License Service Guide (For Partners)

v1.1.0

License Service Guide (For Partners)

Applies to: all partners who publish software on Mizhan and use the platform licensing capabilities (license key issuance / verification / activation / machine binding).

1. What licensing capabilities does the platform provide?

Once you publish a product on Mizhan and enable licensing, the platform provides complete license lifecycle management for your software:

Capability Description
License key issuance Automatic issuance upon successful payment, or manual issuance by the partner, or issuance via API from your software
License verification Your software verifies license key validity online at runtime (millisecond-level, cached)
Activation / trial claim Buyers activate licenses or claim trials (claimTrial)
Machine binding License keys are bound to machine codes to prevent one key being used on many machines

These capabilities are forever free for TRIAL_FIRST (try-before-you-buy) products: transactions of this form always go through platform payment, and the platform covers licensing costs via revenue sharing.

2. Two free quotas you own by default

Every partner automatically receives two free service quotas after registration — no purchase, no application required:

Free quota Quantity Purpose
Manual issuance quota 1 product Issue license keys manually for free on 1 product (for offline deals, reissuing to existing users, etc.)
Product licensing quota 1 product Use platform licensing features (verification / activation / machine binding / issuance) for free on 1 non-TRIAL_FIRST product

How the quotas work

  1. Occupied automatically, no action needed: when you use a capability on a product for the first time (first manual issuance / first verification or activation), the system automatically occupies 1 quota, and that product enjoys the corresponding service for free, forever;
  2. One quota = one product: quotas are occupied per product; once your quota is used up, other products require a service order (see Section 3);
  3. Quotas are not refunded: if a product is taken down or deleted, the quota is not returned — use it on a product you plan to operate long-term;
  4. Where to check: the "My Service Orders" panel in Partner Center shows remaining quotas and occupied products.

3. After quotas are used up: one-time purchase, valid forever

When your free quotas are fully occupied, you can still enable services for other products — just purchase a "License Service Order", a one-time buyout, valid forever:

Service order Unlocked capability Billing
Manual Issuance Service Order Manual license key issuance in the production environment for that product One-time buyout (per product)
Product Licensing Service Order All licensing features for that product (verification / activation / machine binding / issuance) One-time buyout (per product)

After the buyout:

  • The service order is bound to the product; renaming, editing or taking down the product does not affect the service order;
  • No renewals, no expiration — buy once, use forever;
  • License keys already issued remain valid forever; service order status changes never affect your end users.

Purchase entry: Partner Center → My Service Orders → select a product → Buy Now (Alipay / WeChat Pay / PayPal supported).

4. What is completely free and requires no quota

Scenario Description
TRIAL_FIRST (try-before-you-buy) products All licensing features free; the platform earns through transaction revenue sharing
Sandbox (test environment) Everything free — debug freely, no quota occupied
Platform launch period The platform is currently in its launch period: licensing features are free for all partners (free quotas relaxed during this period); the commercialization schedule will be announced in Partner Center in advance

5. FAQ

Q: I only have one product. Do I need to pay? A: No. TRIAL_FIRST products are free anyway; for other forms, using your default free quota gives you permanent access.

Q: What does the manual issuance quota mean? A: If you close deals outside the platform (e.g., offline bank transfers, existing channel customers), you can use manual issuance to deliver license keys directly to buyers. This capability is free for 1 product by default; beyond that, you can purchase a "Manual Issuance Service Order" per product.

Q: I occupied a quota with a product, but I'm no longer developing it. What now? A: Quotas are not refunded. We recommend occupying quotas only with products you are committed to operating long-term; if adjustment is truly needed, contact platform support.

Q: If the platform raises prices or changes rules after my buyout, will I be affected? A: No. Purchased service orders remain valid forever; future rule changes only affect new purchases — existing rights are unaffected.

Q: My enterprise customer pays by bank transfer and cannot pay online. What can I do? A: Contact platform support for the offline order channel; we will enable the corresponding service order for you manually.
