Platform Guide

This article explains the core features and workflows of PowerSoftware.

1. Buyer Workflow

  1. Search products: search by name, industry or tags on the homepage or in the product center;
  2. View details: the detail page includes features, scenarios, images/videos, price and license terms;
  3. Pay: complete payment with Alipay, PayPal or other supported methods;
  4. Download / Deploy: downloadable products are ready right after payment; server software can submit a deployment order for the developer or platform to deploy;
  5. Activate: client software licenses appear under "Profile → My Licenses"; unbind anytime before switching devices;
  6. Orders and feedback: all orders are visible in "Purchased". Users who purchased or bound a license can submit product feedback, which is sent directly to the developer.

2. Developer Workflow

  1. Become a developer: submit developer info and get publishing rights after approval;
  2. Publish products: fill in name, introduction, images/videos, upload installers, configure pricing; client software can enable license settings (editions, upgrade strategy, software API secret);
  3. Review: products are reviewed by the platform and go live after approval;
  4. Transparent data: orders, deployments, statements and revenue sharing are all visible in the Developer Center;
  5. License management: generate license codes (yearly/perpetual, edition-based), view bound machines, revoke and upgrade licenses.

3. License System

  • Term: licenses support yearly or perpetual durations; renew before expiry;
  • Editions: developers define editions when publishing (Basic/Pro/Ultimate by default), each with different features;
  • Upgrade strategy: developers choose "upgrade in place" (same code) or "issue a new code" (revoke old);
  • In-app payment: promotion-only or client software can pay inside the app, then call the open API to auto-generate and verify licenses (see the License Open API Document).

4. Feedback

Every product has its own feedback form. Users who purchased or bound a license can submit up to 3 feedbacks per day, which are emailed to the developer automatically.
